Olivier has been practising law since 1994 and was appointed a Lawyer at the Conseil d’État and the Court of Cassation in 2005. He is a former member of the board of the National Association of Lawyers at the Conseil d’État and the Court of Cassation.
Having graduated from the École des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in 1990, he also studied law and obtained a master’s degree (M1) in private law from the University of Paris I Panthéon Sorbonne in 1992 and a postgraduate diploma (DEA) (M2) in private law (intellectual property) from the University of Paris II Panthéon Assas in 1993.
He was first secretary of the Conférence du stage des avocats aux Conseils.
In the course of his practice, Olivier Matuchansky has acquired solid experience in all areas of private and public law, particularly in all areas of business and tax law, as well as in labour law and fundamental rights and civil liberties. He is experienced in handling complex, high-stakes cases before the Conseil d’Etat, the Court of Cassation and the Conseil constitutionnel, including advisory work, and works fluently with English-speaking colleagues.
